OUR REACH
Our reach brings together science and health outreach, educational resources, mentorship, and academic support. Each program helps students gain access to knowledge, explore a new interest, or take a next step toward college and a future career.
Future Health Leaders began three years ago as a student-led passion project and has grown into a 501(c)(3) nonprofit expanding access to science, healthcare education, and academic support for students.
We bring together hands-on workshops, school and community outreach, peer mentorship, and online SAT tutoring. Our work focuses on underserved communities and helps students build knowledge, confidence, and a sense of what is possible.
Healthcare, academics, and service are the three pillars of our mission. Whether a student is interested in medicine, another STEM field, or simply understanding the world, there is a place to learn and contribute.

A FOUNDATION FOR EXPLORATION
Students explore how the body works, how health conditions develop, and how healthcare professionals approach patient care. Anatomy and physiology connect with medical terminology, introductory pharmacology, and the reasoning behind clinical decisions.
Guided activities, case discussions, practical demonstrations, and simulations bring concepts to life. Written assignments, tests, and practicals help students review ideas and demonstrate understanding.
The depth of each activity is adapted to students’ experience and readiness, building from foundations toward more advanced concepts.

The science of health connects to many interests and fields, whether or not you plan a healthcare career.
Workshops provide educational exploration. BLS certification opportunities, where offered, require a designated certification course and its assessments. Workshop introductions to ACLS and PALS do not confer provider certification.

For students interested in medicine, nursing, or another healthcare field, the journey begins with a strong academic foundation. FHL connects online SAT preparation with science and math support, study skills, and college planning to help students prepare for that next step.
The SAT supports undergraduate college preparation. In the traditional U.S. medical school pathway, the MCAT generally comes later, alongside college coursework and other application requirements. Testing policies vary, and admission and scholarship decisions are made by each institution.

We teach students at different starting points. Content grows with their understanding, interests, and experience.
Begin with how the body works, the language of healthcare, and everyday connections between science and health. Guided activities and peer support make new topics approachable.
Explore clinical cases, simulations, research presentations, and academic preparation. Develop leadership by helping others learn and contributing to community projects.
LEARNING THROUGH SERVICE
Student chapters give FHL’s mission a local home. Chapters connect students through outreach, shared educational campaigns, peer mentorship, and collaborative science or public health projects.
Community service puts that learning into practice. Health awareness campaigns, resource drives, educational materials, and community events help students share knowledge and respond to the needs around them.
Schools and local organizations can partner with FHL to discuss workshops, career exploration, educational resources, and opportunities for students to lead.
